DAY 1 : RIO DE JANEIRO / ARRIVAL
International flight arrival in Rio de Janeiro (schedule and flight number to confirm). Reception at the airport and private transportation to the hotel. Check-in, Installation and rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 2 : RIO DE JANEIRO / CORCOVADO & HISTORICAL CITY CENTER
At 09:00 a.m, meeting in the hotel lobby with an English-speaking guide. Private transportation to one of the modern world 7 wonders, the worldwide symbol of Rio de Janeiro. From the Corcovado hill, the allegory of Jesus Christ embraces and protects the Cidade Maravilhosa. The panorama offers on the city and its environment is impressive. On one side, the legendary beaches: Ipanema, Leblon, …, the Sugar Loaf; on the other, the northern area and the Maracanã stadium. The visitation continues through the neighborhood of Santa Teresa until the historic center of Rio for a walking tour. Founded in 1565, São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro has a lot to teach. The cobbled streets share space with skyscrapers and museums. The group interests will determine the visitation schedule. But it guarantees the main attractions: Cinelandia, escadaria colorida, Cathedral, Praca Tiradentes, Real Gabinete Portuguese de Leitura, Uruguaiana, son souk, Praca XV, le Morro da Conceição, Praca Maua and Rio Art Museum. The visitation allows to discover every phase of construction of the city and its development for the World Cup and the Olympic Games. Return to the hotel by late afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 3 : RIO DE JANEIRO / THE BOTANICAL GARDENS & THE SUGAR LOAF
At 09:00, meeting in the hotel lobby with an English-speaking guide. Private transportation to the botanical garden. Created in 1808 by the Prince Regent Dom João VI, it was first opened to acclimate European aromatic and medicinal plants. It has a large biodiversity today. Walk between bromeliads, orchids, fruit trees and tropical plants to discover the large Brazilian biodiversity. A lush and quiet area in the heart of the carioca metropolis where it might be possible to spot toucans, monkeys and butterflies. After lunch, the visitation continues towards the Sugar Loaf. Short walk by the red beach and the Claudio Coutinho trail before going up to the Morro da Urca with the centenary cable car. The intermediate step reveals a new perspective on Rio south district and the city centre. The Sugar Loaf Mountain is reached by a new cable car ascension. At 396 meters above sea level, the views of Copacabana, the Guanabara Bay, Niteroi, Christ the Redeemer are impressive. Time at leisure to appreciate the panorama or to have a drink among Rio’s panorama. Back at the mountains’ bottom walk tour in the bucolic neighbourhood of Urca, ideal for lunch. Return to the hotel by late afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 4 : RIO DE JANEIRO / FAVELA DONA MARTA
At 09:00 a.m, meeting in the hotel lobby with an English-speaking guide. Public transportation to Santa Marta favelas, a former drug lord’s stronghold. It offers a complementary view and perspective of the Brazilian society. With a local guide, born in the community funicular ride to reach the summit of the community. Panorama of the region, stop at the football pitch and walk down through the tangled streets, the history and the everyday life of this popular community. Created as an example for all the other communities Santa Marta favelas bets on education and culture to provide younger generations a healthy future. Return to the hotel by late morning. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 5 : RIO DE JANEIRO – IGUAÇU / THE BRAZILIAN FALLS
03H00 hours prior to take-off, private transportation to the airport. Domestic flight Rio de Janeiro – Iguaçú (schedule and flight number to confirm). Upon arrival, reception at the airport and private transportation to the hotel. Installation followed by a tour in the Parque Nacional de Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. It gives an overview of the “Devil’s Throat”, the most powerful falls. A unique view of the rocky amphitheatre, passing several tons of water per second to the “Iguaçú River”. After the visit, stop at the Bird park. It gathers all the world and endemic species of birds.
Return to the hotel by the end of the day. Evening at leisure.

DAY 6 : IGUAÇU / THE ARGENTINIAN FALLS
At 8:30, meeting in the hotel lobby with an English-speaking guide. Visit to Puerto Iguazu National Park, Argentina. 40 minutes transfer for 30 km. Stop at the symbolic point of the triple border between Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. In the Park several kilometres of footbridges allow the tourist to get very close to hundreds of cascades that refresh the air. The day continues to stimulate the eyes and the heart in this natural coliseum. The star of the circuit: the overhead view of the “Devil’s Throat” is the most impressive. Return to the hotel by the end of the day. Evening at leisure.

DAY 7 : FOZ DO IGUACU – CAMPO GRANDE – PANTANAL
03H00 prior to take-off, private transpotation to the airport. Domestic flight Iguaçu – Campo Grande (schedule and flight number to confirm). Upon arrival, reception at the airport and transfer to the Bus Station. At 12:00, departure by collective passenger bus to the Pantanal. 04H30 journey for 350 km. Arrival at “Buraco das Piranhas” and collective passenger transpotation to the Fazenda. Check-in, installation and dinner. Evening at leisure.

DAYS 8 E 9 : ATIVIDADES PANTANEIRAS
These days are dedicated to observe the wildlife through activities performed around the lodge. Excursions are organized in groups of 10 people. The guides, natives of the region, share their art and knowledge.
Suggested activities:

  • Walking tour at dawn;
  • Canoe or motor boat tours on surrounding rivers;
  • Horse ride, attend to local wildlife;
  • Swimming looking at the otters and alligators;
  • Piranhas and Tucunarés, fishing sessions;
  • Nap during the hottest part of the day;
  • Photographic Safari.
  • Night observation to spot the shy nocturnal animals.

DAY 10 : PANTANAL – BONITO
After an activity and lunch, collective passenger transpotation to Buraco das Piranhas. Bus connexion to Bonito. 04H30 journey for 300 km. Upon arrival, reception at the bus station and transfer to the hotel. Check-in, installation and rest of day at leisure.

DAY 11 : BONITO / RIO DA PRATA AND BURACO DAS ARARAS
After breakfast, meeting in the hotel lobby an English-speaking guide. Collective passenger transpotation to Recanto Ecológico do Rio da Prata. Where a river, a bit special, flows through the reeds. A wetsuit allows the group to float down the river in its translucent waters full of fish. The underwater life is beautiful and the banks may hide save some surprises. Adventurers floats several kilometres before taking the path to lunch. The afternoon is an opportunity to observe a colony of multicolour parrots. They have chosen this rocky well as their house, the aptly named: “Buraco das Araras”. Return to Bonito by mid-afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 12 : BONITO / RIO SUCURI AND EST NCIA MIMOSA
After breakfast, meeting in the hotel lobby with an English-speaking guide. Collective passenger transpotation to the Rio Sucuri spring. A short walk is necessary to discover the today’s activity. Floatation on the river, which meanders the jungle. The progression is slow to enjoy the diversified underwater life. After the activity collective passenger transpotation to Estancia Mimosa, where lunch is served. After lunch, walk to discover the property treasures. It is full of waterfalls and freshwater tubs, pots and pools. Just choose the container! Return to Bonito by mid-afternoon. Evening at leisure.

DAY 13 : BONITO – CAMPO GRANDE – SÃO PAULO
At 09:00, private transpotation to Bonito’s bus station. Collective passenger bus to Campo Grande. 05H00 journey for 300 km. Upon arrival, reception at the bus station and private transpotation to the airport. Domestic flight Campo Grande – São Paulo (schedule and flight number to confirm). Upon arrival, reception and private transpotation to the hotel. Check-in, installation and evening at leisure.
