DAY 1 : RIO DE JANEIRO / ARRIVAL
International flight arrival (not included, schedule and flight number to confirm). Reception at the airport and private transportation to the hotel. Check-in, installation and rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 2 : RIO DE JANEIRO / CORCOVADO & TIJUCA FOREST
At 09:00 a.m, meeting in the hotel lobby with an English-speaking guide. Private transportation to one of the modern world 7 wonders, the worldwide symbol of Rio de Janeiro. From the Corcovado hill, the allegory of Jesus Christ embraces and protects the Cidade Maravilhosa. The panorama offers on the city and its environment is impressive. On one side, the legendary beaches: Ipanema, Leblon, …, the Sugar Loaf; on the other, the northern area and the Maracanã stadium. After the visit, the discovery of Rio de Janeiro continues in the Tijuca Forest National Park. Rio is refreshed by these 4,000 hectares of tropical Atlantic rainforest. A wonderful playground for nature lovers. On the agenda: stop at the Cascatinha , the small waterfall, at the visitor centre before leaving the car behind to walk the National Park trails looking for the local fauna and flora a waterfall to bath, a cave to explore,… The visit continues around the hand gliding ramp. Trekking to the top of Pedra Bonita into the tropical Atlantic rain forest listening for birds and monkeys. Time at leisure on the top for a snack and to enjoy the panorama of São Conrado, Rocinha, Barra da Tijuca and Pedra da Gavea. 00H30 walk for 120 meters uphill. Return to the hotel by late afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 3 : RIO DE JANEIRO / BURLE MARX, PRAINHA & BARRA
At 08:00, meeting in the hotel lobby with an English-speaking guide. Private transportation to Barra de Guaratiba, west zone of the Carioca capital. 01H00 drive for 45 km. At 09:30, guided visit of the ranch of Roberto Burle Marx. Paisagist, botanist and Brazilian artist, this space brings together the work and history of this atypical character. After the visit, direction to the coast to enjoy the secluded beaches of Prainha and Grumari. A perfect opportunity to surf, relax and enjoy grilled fish at a kiosk. After lunch, return to the south, with the opportunity to discover the “new Rio”: Recreio dos Bandeirantes and Barra da Tijuca. These neighborhoods appeared only 40 years ago on the border of a long beach of fine sand. Return to the hotel in the afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 4 : RIO DE JANEIRO / MORRO DOS DOIS IRMÃOS
At 09:30, meeting in the hotel lobby with an English-speaking guide. Public transportation to the bottom of the Vidigal Favelas. The visit starts by a local kombi or moto taxi ride through the pacified favelas to the Morro dos 02 Irmãos trail starting point. 01H20 walk for 150 meters uphill. The walk offers several view points on Rocinha the biggest favelas in Latin America, São Conrado and the Gávea Rock. The top offers one of the most beautiful view of Rio de Janeiro. From this spot, it is possible to enjoy a wide panorama of the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, Leblon beach and the Corcovado Hill. Free time on the top. The way down goes back the same way and offers the opportunity to visit the narrow streets of the Vidigal favelas.
Return to the hotel by mid-afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 5 : RIO DE JANEIRO – IGUAÇU / THE BRAZILIAN FALLS
03H00 hours prior to take-off, private transportation to the airport. Domestic flight Rio de Janeiro – Iguaçú (schedule and flight number to confirm). Upon arrival, reception at the airport and private transportation to the hotel. Installation followed by a tour in the Parque Nacional de Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. It gives an overview of the “Devil’s Throat”, the most powerful falls. A unique view of the rocky amphitheatre, passing several tons of water per second to the “Iguaçú River”. After the visit, stop at the Bird park. It gathers all the world and endemic species of birds.
Return to the hotel by the end of the day. Evening at leisure.

DIA 6 : IGUAÇU / THE ARGENTINIAN FALLS
At 8:30, meeting in the hotel lobby with an English-speaking guide. Visit to Puerto Iguazu National Park, Argentina. 40 minutes transfer for 30 km. Stop at the symbolic point of the triple border between Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. In the Park several kilometres of footbridges allow the tourist to get very close to hundreds of cascades that refresh the air. The day continues to stimulate the eyes and the heart in this natural coliseum. The star of the circuit: the overhead view of the “Devil’s Throat” is the most impressive. Return to the hotel by the end of the day. Evening at leisure.

DAY 7 : FOZ DO IGUAÇU – CAMPO GRANDE – PANTANAL
03H00 prior to take-off, private transpotation to the airport. Domestic flight Foz do Iguaçu – Campo Grande (schedule and flight number to confirm). Upon arrival, reception at the airport and transfer to the Bus Station. At 12:00, departure by collective passenger bus to the Pantanal. 04H30 journey for 350 km. Arrival at “Buraco das Piranhas” and collective passenger transpotation to the Fazenda. Check-in, installation and dinner. Evening at leisure.

DIAS 8 ET 9 : ATIVIDADES PANTANEIRAS
These days are dedicated to observe the wildlife through activities performed around the lodge. Excursions are organized in groups of 10 people. The guides, natives of the region, share their art and knowledge.
Suggested activities:
– Walking tour at dawn;
– Canoe or motor boat tours on surrounding rivers;
– Horse ride, attend to local wildlife;
– Swimming looking at the otters and alligators;
– Piranhas and Tucunarés, fishing sessions;
– Nap during the hottest part of the day;
– Photographic Safari.
– Night observation to spot the shy nocturnal animals.

DAY 10 : PANTANAL – BONITO
After an activity and lunch, collective passenger transpotation to Buraco das Piranhas. Bus connexion to Bonito. 04H30 journey for 300 km. Upon arrival, reception at the bus station and transfer to the hotel. Check-in, installation and rest of day at leisure.

DAY 11 : BONITO / RIO DA PRATA E BURACO DAS ARARAS
After breakfast, meeting in the hotel lobby an English-speaking guide. Collective passenger transpotation to Recanto Ecológico do Rio da Prata. Where a river, a bit special, flows through the reeds. A wetsuit allows the group to float down the river in its translucent waters full of fish. The underwater life is beautiful and the banks may hide save some surprises. Adventurers floats several kilometres before taking the path to lunch. The afternoon is an opportunity to observe a colony of multicolour parrots. They have chosen this rocky well as their house, the aptly named: “Buraco das Araras”. Return to Bonito by mid-afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 12 : BONITO / RIO SUCURI E EST NCIA MIMOSA
After breakfast, meeting in the hotel lobby with an English-speaking guide. Collective passenger transpotation to the Rio Sucuri spring. A short walk is necessary to discover the today’s activity. Floatation on the river, which meanders the jungle. The progression is slow to enjoy the diversified underwater life. After the activity collective passenger transpotation to Estancia Mimosa, where lunch is served. After lunch, walk to discover the property treasures. It is full of waterfalls and freshwater tubs, pots and pools. Just choose the container! Return to Bonito by mid-afternoon. Evening at leisure.

DAY 13 : BONITO – CAMPO GRANDE – MANAUS
At 09:00, private transpotation to Bonito’s bus station. Collective passenger bus to Campo Grande. 05H00 journey for 300 km. Upon arrival, reception at the bus station and private transpotation to the airport. Domestic flight Campo Grande – Manaus (schedule and flight number to confirm). Upon arrival, reception and private transpotation to the hotel. Check-in, installation and evening at leisure.

DAY 14 : MANAUS / VISITA CIENTÍFICA E CULTURAL
At 09:00, meeting in the hotel lobby with the tour guide. In private vehicle, transfer to the Training Center of the Brazilian Army’s Zoological Park. Created in 1967, it is the largest animals reserve in the Amazon. It is home of vast regional fauna: jaguars, pumas, ocelots, wild cats, snakes, anacondas, monkeys of various species, alligators, golden eagles, … and aims the reintroduction of abused animals into their natural habitat. The visit continues in the Forest of Science, an annex of the Amazon Research Institute. It allows you to approach other species, including manatees and giant otters. After lunch, the discovery continues in the heart of the Amazonian capital. Visit to the Adolpho Lisboa Municipal Market and its “art nouveau” hall. A popular atmosphere among tropical fruits, medicinal plants and their porters, who bring the collection of the day. Walk along the harbor and between the local boats, which connect the main cities of the region with isolated regions. The visit continues in the Palace of the Rio Negro and in the Provincial Palace, which marks the history of the city. The Amazonas Theater is no exception; it is the jewel of Manaus at the peak of the rubber exploration. Return to the hotel in the end of the day.

DAY 15 : MANAUS – ENCONTRO DAS ÁGUAS – JANUARY
At 09:00, meeting in the lobby of the hotel with an English-speaking guide. He will escort the group during the cruise. Transfer to the floating harbour. Visit of the local fish market before boarding on a typical boat of the region. Presentation of the crew and fruit cocktail before casting off. Navigation towards the confluence of the Rio Solimões and the Rio Negro. At this location, a unique phenomenon occurs. Two rivers of two colours meet, challenging each other before uniting to form the legendary Amazon River. Lunch is served on board while the boat crosses the Parque Ecológico Janauary. Visit to a Caboclos community and short hike in the forest. Return on the boat heading to the Rio Negro for a first night under the whispers of the Amazon rainforest.

DAY 16 : RIO NEGRO / TUPE – PARICATUBA – LAGO ACAJATUBA
Navigation on black waters, the village of Tupé as a destination. Disembark and visit of a local community to attend a danced and singed ritual. The symbiosis with local environment is fascinating; the way of living makes the visitor question his feelings. Lunch on the boat before reaching Paricatuba. Visit to the little village before going on a canoe fishing trip. Catching these carnivorous fishes require, speed and sensitivity. Better to be successful! They will be served as dinner… The navigation continues on the Rio Negro to the “Lago Acajatuba” while the sun goes down. Dinner on board and night under the stars.

DAY 17 : RIO NEGRO / ACAJATUBA RIVER
Before dawn, time to take a motorized boat to observe birds, herons, kingfishers, parrots.. constantly present on flooded rivers. Return on board for breakfast before a hike in the heart of the forest. The guide shares his knowledge among giant trees, medicinal plants and insects. Back to the boat for lunch. In the afternoon, visit to a manioc flour factory, particiation to the process and degustation of this local diet basis over the last 500 years. Return to the ship before sunset for a free time to have a drink and bath next to the boat. After dinner, night out with torchights looking for nocturnal animals, like alligators, who hunt on water surface.

DAY 18 : RIO NEGRO – MANAUS / DEPARTURE
In the morning, excursion into the secondary rainforest. The exuberance impresses. The guide orientation are essentials to reveal the mysteries of the green curtain. Navigation starts again to its final desintation : Manaus, the state of Amazonas capital. The experience ends around lunch. Upon arrival, pick-up at the flotting arbour andprivate transpotation to the airport. International flight (time and number to be confirmed). Upon arrival, reception at the airport and private transpotation to the hotel. Check-in, installation and evening at leisure.
